Veterinary Technician – Anesthesia Nurse

We are looking to add to our growing hospital and are in search of a veterinary nurse ( vet tech ) to join our Anesthesia Department with a minimum of three years of experience as a veterinary nurse monitoring anesthesia. Experience with both critical and non-critical cases is preferred.

Current CVT/LVT/RVT preferred or educational equivalent.

The schedule we are hiring for is:

Daytime: Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday 8am - 6pm

Your skills and experience and how you'll utilize them to help our patients:

• Broad knowledge of basic small animal medicine (pharmacology, proper restraint/handling, venipuncture, laboratory testing)
• Thorough understanding and knowledge of medical terminology, medications, and disease processes
• Anesthesia: Induction, monitoring, troubleshooting, recover patients
• Work with board certified Anesthesiologists
• Position and capture of radiographs
• Communicate with clients , and team members (verbally and written)
• Attention to detail and a calm demeanor required
• Ability to work in a fast paced, environment
• Fear Free handling: safe, stress free interactions for team members, clients, and patients
